Recorded at the Sportpaleis Ahoy, Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Very good audience recording. From the info file: Pink Floyd 1971-04-03 Rotterdam, Recorder 1, 3rd gen (24bit/96kHz) Pink Floyd Sportpaleis Ahoy, Rotterdam, Netherlands 3 April 1971 Lineage: 3rd gen cassettes (TDK SA90s) > *Technics RS-B965-M > Focusrite Saffire Pro 14 > Audacity 1.3 > FLAC (24bit/96kHz) xACT used to create FFP *The Technics RS-B965-M is a modified deck - for details see the Tapeheads.net forum 01 Astronomy Domine 02 Careful With That Axe, Eugene 03 Fat Old Sun 04 Applause and tuning 05 Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun 06 Cymbaline 07 Embryo 08 A Saucerful of Secrets Encore: 09 Atom Heart Mother (with brass and choir) Total running time 145 mins 29 secs A raw transfer of my 3rd gen cassettes that I received in 2000. My tapes show some signs of generation loss and are a bit rough in places but this version benefits from a better transfer than the 1st gen that does the rounds. It is also a fresh source for those who are interested in having all the different versions. For three of the sides the right hand channel was stronger than the left and in the case of side C the reverse was so. The songs are spread across the tapes as follows: Side A - 01, 02, 03 Side B - 04, 05, 06, 07 Side C - 08 Side D - 09 I kept the gain the same for sides A and B, then made individual adjustments for the two remaining sides. I then dropped each of the weaker channels to create a mono recording. Neonknight, April 2013 |
