Recorded at the Grosser Saal, Musikhalle, Hamburg, Germany. Great audience recording. From the info file: Pink Floyd 1971-02-25 Hamburg 3rd gen (24bit/96kHz) Pink Floyd Grosser Saal Musikhalle, Hamburg, Germany 25 February 1971 Lineage: 3rd gen cassette (TDK SA90) > *Technics RS-B965-M > Focusrite Saffire Pro 14 > Audacity 1.3 > FLAC (24bit/96kHz) xACT used to create MD5 *The Technics RS-B965-M is a modified deck - for details see the Tapeheads.net forum Atom Heart Mother Total running time 30 mins 24 secs Being from cassette and in stereo this was once commonly thought to be a different recorder but is in fact the same as the one available on the LP bootleg 'M-502'. Generally this recording sounds really nice but it does have some downsides. There is an odd noise for 2 seconds at 3 mins 48 secs and quite a lot intermittent distortion, for example. Perhaps both could be fixed. My cassette was from a German trading contact back in 2000. The concert was taped by the N brothers from Hamburg using a Uher Report reel to reel and two Sennheiser microphones at high speed. Neonknight, March 2013 |
