Fixed tiny dropout on Cymbaline (which is present on any version of this show). Adjusted the speed. Side A and B ran slow by almost 4%, Side C by around 3,5%, Side D by around 2,5%. Some occasional surface/wear noises here and there at the beginning of side1 during the songs GITC and the beginning of CWTAE, but generally, despite being a 42 years old vinyl, the sound of these records is cleaner and has a fuller, warmer and more natural SQ than the other circulating vinyl versions of this recording I have reviewed, including of course, M502. Anyway, the records look like a very good german pressing quality and they're very thick and heavy. These are from the very first pressing made in Germany in 1971, the gatefold cover is laminated both outside and inside, where there are the songs titles. The inside is of the same thickness as the outer. Matrix numbers are only the numbers 1 , 2 , 3 , 4, handscratched respectively on each side. The famous 'M-502' matrix number appeared on the later re-releases of this bootleg and it's not present on these records. Vince, April 2013. Further comments on the pictures of these vinyl LPs: On side1 and side3, on the label area, there is the residue of the glue of some tiny sticky labels, likely put there (and removed) by previous owner of these vinyl LPs. On the label area of the side4, there is a weird residue of dark-grey/black ink from some labels of some other records... not easy to take a pic of it as it is dark grey on the black vinyl surface and then visible much easier directly with eyes and with the help of some light to make it reflect a bit more. My best guess is that perhaps there was a residue of ink from some labels of what they were pressing on the same pressing machine just before this one... or something like that... Anyway, what you can read on that residue of label is that it's some record pressed in Germany in 1971, which reinforces the idea that this press of pf1234 is just from 1971 and, thus, the very first press.
