Recorded at the Pavillon de la Jeunesse, Quebec, Canada. Great audience recording. I received it in 2000 on a minidisc with SCMS, which I stripped out using my Behringer Ultramatch (a handy piece of kit in its day) to achieve a digital transfer for this release. The recording is slightly longer than it should be as I retained a 19 second duplication at the end of the end of AHM and beginning of CWTAE. The unnecessary content was located at the beginning of disc two at 69.04.02. I normalised the recording as the levels of the original transfer to MD were rather low. When comparing this copy to others doing the rounds don't be put off by the opening before Embryo commences as the quality improves by the time the songs starts. Copies on trade lists often seem to be derived from 2nd gen cassettes. Assuming the lists I have encountered are correct, there are at least two other 2nd gens doing the rounds. A 1st gen would no doubt be an excellent find. Anything higher than 2nd gen or unknown gen for this date, has been rather mediocre in my experience. Neonknight, July 2013 |
