Recorded at the Westfalenhalle, Dortmund, Germany. Great audience recording. From the info file: Westfalenhalle, Dortmund, Germany February 15th 1981 transferred by Furry_Animal from M.B. tapes Recording source .. Audience (recorder 3) Sound Quality ..... EX Tape source ....... TDK SA90 1st generation cassette w/Dolby B Transfer .......... Sony CD/Cass deck TXD-RE210 > Creative Sounblaster X-FI Platinum > HD > Auditon 1.5 > 16b/44Khz WAV > Speed correction (on Audacity) > SoundForge 7 (merging) > CDWave 1.95.1 (tracking) > FLAC total time = 39:06m 1. COMFORTABLY NUMB (7:27m) 2. THE SHOW MUST GO ON (2:39m) 3. Announcer in German (2:20m) 4. IN THE FLESH (4:35m) 5. RUN LIKE HELL (7:23m) 6. WAITING FOR THE WORMS (4:31m) 7. STOP (0:34m) 8. THE TRIAL (6:13m) 9. OUTSIDE THE WALL (3:25m) Nice sound, what a pitty it's incomplete, it came as a bonus on a tape for another date. I suppose the complete recording should exist. I speed corrected it myself on Audacity (original transfer run slow) using a 2,5% ratio, and it came out pretty well i think, it's my first speed correction. WFTW has an inner cut and you can hear another song from another band for a bit (taped from the radio it seems) and then it resumes, i left it as it was on the tape. -gbc Original comments from Furry_Animal ----------------------------------- This is NOT recorder 1 (like WWRM or DIE MAUER - mislabeled 02/13), the 'bad recorder' compared to rec2 (Watmann's master 'Spitze!'). But this is also NOT Watmann's tape! This is a third recorder! The main ID is during the Roger intro of RLH. Just before Roger says 'RLH' a guy very near the taper says 'RUN LIKE FUCK - oh shit!'. It is very clear on this tape. Just before the guys shouts that another guy far from the taper shouts (very fainted) Run Like Hell, and you hear him also on DIE MAUER (but not Run Like Fuck). Anyway, this is an upgrade over DIE MAUER and even SPITZE which is a bit too screetchy on the high ends. SQ is Ex-. very nice! Bits of another song (from radio?) inside Waiting for the worms! |
