Recorded at the Dome, Brighton, UK. Great audience recording. From the info file: BRIGHTON 28.6.72 3RD GENERATION The Dome, Brighton, England, June 28th 1972 from marbal's cassettes / transferred by pinkrudy on february 2008 Generation: Maxell XLII90 & Maxell XLII60 cass[3] > Sony CFD-G500 > SB X-Fi Xtrememusic > Cooledit Pro > WAV 24/48 > FLAC 24/48 Total Time 105:48m 1. DAKR SIDE OF THE MOON (44:30m) 2. ONE OF THESE DAYS / CWTAE / ECHOES (43:58m) 3. SET THE CONTROLS (17:20m) Nice sound, maybe after all it may have an edge over the 1st generation. The 1st generation is sweet in terms of bass and smoothness but the sound is like it gets a bit compressed and get caught under the bassy ambience, here this one is hissier but sounds louder and it sounds with more punch and better definition, it has much better highs that even now you can hear the people around the taper talking while on the 1st gen they sound as if they were far. -gbc |
