The whole thing got fucked up when I lost one of the tapes.

Back in about 1999-2000, i grabbed the complete show from a first generation copy of the master-tapes
and produced the Disc you find in here as 'BCTR-DVD2-1'. I left it as it has been, containing the complete show including the encore.

I don't know how and why, but somehow a copy of a recording of a recording of a recording...,
of this first Release found their way to KoolKat and they released 'The Backdrops of Basel' out of this.

In 2008 i started to release all of my recordings, mostly inspired through the really nice work and kind help of the guys at www.echoeshub.com to return something to the community. That's where the idea for BCTR-DVD1 (Basel 1988),
this release and BCTR-DVD3 (Gelsenkirchen 1994) originates from.

After going through my stuff at home, i found 6 out of 7 tapes, the missing one is the first half of this show.

To give you the best possible sound and picture quality, i decided to resample what i found (the second tape, containing the dark side of the moon and the encore): That's what you find in here as BCTR-DVD2-2.

So the lineage is as following:

Disc 1:
Video and Audio-Track: Hi8 Master-Tape -> S-VHS-Tape -> Dazzle-Video-Capture -> DVD Lab -> You

Disc 2:
Video Track: Hi8 Master-Tape -> WinTV PVR 150 -> DVD Lab Pro2 -> You
Audio Track 1: Hi8 Master-Tape -> Sony ES60 -> Digital IN -> EQ, Dynamics -> You
Audio Track 2: Hi8 Master-Tape -> WinTV PVR 150 -> DVD Lab Pro2 -> You (unaltered)

Tracklist:

Disc 1:
Selfmade Intro (i can remember a security guard hanging around, so i turned on the cam as soon as he left.
I filled the gap with this animation)

Shine On You Crazy Diamond (parts I - V)
Learning To Fly
High Hopes
Take It Back
Coming Back To Life
Sorrow
Keep Talking
Another Brick In The Wall - part 2
One Of These Days

The Dark Side Of The Moon

Encore:
Wish You Were Here
Comfortably Numb
Run Like Hell

Disc 2:

Encore:
Wish You Were Here
Comfortably Numb
Run Like Hell

About this recording
====================

This is my second recording (the others are Basel 1988 and Gelsenkirchen 1994) i made from Pink
Floyd shows. There are several recordings of this show, so i decided to call it BCTR-DVD2-1 and
BCTR-DVD2-2 to keep them apart. BCTR is an abbrevation from 'Bang Center', a comment i read
about the Backdrops of Basel-DVD ( -> http://www.pf-db.com/index.php?concert_id=721&bootleg_id=3367 )
'...stage but bang center...'. As this was my favorite position for taping all three shows i
decided to call them BCTR. All songs are complete, i changed tape and battery during the breaks.

About the camera
================

See the sonycam.png Image in the artwork and info directory to see the actual camera the show
was taped with. As you see this stone-aged-monster you perhaps understand some of the blackouts
in the show: As soon as a security (or someone looking like one) walked by i took the cam down
immediately. If it shooks, that's because even if you want (yes, you REALLY want :-) ) to tape
the show the cam becomes heavier and heavier during the show.

Do not sell. Enjoy. Trade for free.

Feel also free to grab from this recording what you want. Feel free to release another version if
you are more familiar with sound-engineering as i am. Please keep this original-info file on any
re-release.
