Recorded at the Musikhalle, Hamburg, Germany. Great audience recording. From the info file: Pink Floyd 1971-02-25 Hamburg, N Brothers, Marbal Dolby C 3rd gen (24bit/96kHz) Pink Floyd Grosser Saal Musikhalle, Hamburg, Germany 25 February 1971 Lineage: Maxell XLII-S 60 3rd gen cassette > *Technics RS-B965-M > Focusrite Saffire Pro 14 > Reaper v4.61 > FLAC (24bit/96kHz) *The Technics RS-B965-M is a modified deck - for details see the Tapeheads.net forum xACT used to create FFP Atom Heart Mother Total running time 29 mins 9 secs The concert was taped by the N brothers from Hamburg using a Uher Report reel to reel and two Sennheiser microphones at high speed. Their tape copy of Atom Heart Mother Reprise is unfortunately missing from this cassette. Marbal’s copy, which he received from his trading contact Chris D in February 1992, is unusual for being recorded with Dolby C. I switched it on for playback because the tape sounded a lot worse in the off position. My only change was to apply a speed correction of +4.91% using élastique 2.28 Pro. With thanks to goldenband for his speed correction advice. Marbal cassette / Neonknight tape transfer, April 2015 |
