Recorded at the Royal Festival Hall, London, UK. Great matrix of 3 audience recordings. From the info file: David Gilmour w Kate Bush and Richard Wright. Jan 18th 2002 London, Royal Festival Hall. 'You're The Luckiest Woman In The World, Polly' Fat Old Sun Records FOS-CDR-004 Backround: I have a mate who was lucky enough to attend one of the 2002 Gilmour UK shows and she was unimpressed that the official release only had maybe one song from her show, but i promised to get her a CD of the whole show from start to finish and sure enough there were four sources to choose from. She isn't one for bootlegs and not one source was amazing but I played around with them and doing a matrix sounded the best. I went through each release, each recorder and decided on the three best sources which are as follows. It was incredible how different they were harmonically and tonally. 'Another Night In London Volume 3' was the best overall so I put that in the centre and when i panned 'Shine On You Solo' to the right and 'Nights Of Wonder Pt3' to the left I thought I was there! Throughout the recording session, I would often mute one of the sources and it was incredible how weak it sounded if one was missing. It's still not as good as a soundboard but if you attend a show you never have an auxilery line from the desk going into earphones, you hear the sound of the room, the PA and the acoustics of the band which is captured perfectly in this release. I chose the title because of an envious woman in the crowd who shouts this quote out at the beginning of Shine Pt.2.
