Recorded at the Dai-Sho-Gun Furitsu, Taiikukan, Kyoto, Japan. Very good audience recording. From the info file: Pink Floyd 1972-03-10 Kyoto, low gen [24-96] Pink Floyd Dai-Sho-Gun Furitsu, Taiikukan, Kyoto Japan 10 March 1972 Lineage: Low gen Maxell XLII90 cassettes > *Technics RS-B965-M > Focusrite Saffire Pro 14 > Reaper v4.61 > FLAC (24bit/96kHz) xACT used to create FFP 01 The Dark Side Of The Moon 02 One Of These Days 03 Careful With That Axe, Eugene 04 Echoes Total running time 1 hour 36 mins 32 secs An enjoyable stereo recording which is assisted by the audience being quiet and restrained during the performance. I transferred all three sides of pinkrudy's tapes at the same level. Most of Echoes is on side B but it cuts. Thankfully it is complete on side C. The master was a National C120, so it is likely that DSOTM was on A and the rest on B. My Cass(1)>DAT(1) starts a couple of seconds earlier and has a nice smooth sound but is subdued and notably less dynamic than this version. My thanks, as ever, to goldenband for his trusty speed correction advice. The following values were applied: DSOTM: -0.58% OOTD/CWTAE: -0.87% Echoes: -1.16% Howard Gil tapes supplied by pinkrudy / Neonknight tape transfer, December 2015 |
