Recorded at the Grote Markt, Tienen, Belgium. Great audience recording. From the info file: DAVID GILMOUR Happy Wedding Anniversary Polly! 2016.07.28 Grote Markt, Tienen, Belgium Pottel rec. recorded about 5m right from the back of house soundtower or whatever the thing is called. Tascam DR-05 --> Sandisk 8GB Micro SD --> Audacity to split tracks --> Traders little helper to .. to Flac 8 --> µtorrent --> Yeeshkul --> YOU!! Set 1 5 A.M. Rattle That Lock Faces of Stone What Do You Want From Me The Blue The Great Gig in the Sky A Boat Lies Waiting Wish You Were Here Money In Any Tongue High Hopes Set 2: Astronomy Domine Shine On You Crazy Diamond (Parts I-V) Fat Old Sun Dancing Right in Front of Me Coming Back to Life On an Island Band introduction The Girl in the Yellow Dress Today Sorrow Run Like Hell Encore: Time Comfortably Numb Held the recorded on shoulder height, as that was all that was possible at this impossibly overcrowded market square. surprised to have gotten such a good recording with it. the few times it sounds muffled (slightly) is when i reached down to close or open my raincoat, depending on whether or not it started/stopped to rain David seemed to be in a super mood (listen to him declaring his love to polly when he announces that they will have been married for 22 yrs about twelve minutes before midnight of the 28th. sound was fantastic, as many others have already mentioned. had worried about the sound possibly bouncing back from the buildings on the opposite side of the stage. Also, considering the amount of windows of private residences on that square, i would not be surprised to see some MAJORLY amazing video sources pop up. The rain was amazing as it crossed the various lasers/lights. Loved it when he introduced the band and said that it was going to be 'his last show with us, as he's been stolen away by SUPERIOR BEINGS', lol.... Sorrow was the song of the evening for me. After the intro i thought to myself, this CANNOT be topped, then came the outro... Hope you enjoy this recording as much as i did. Pottel 2016.07.30 |
