Pink Floyd 1970-03-20 Lund, rolly69 unknown gen (24bit/96kHz) Pink Floyd Akademiska Foreningens Stora Sal, Lund, Sweden 20 March 1970 Lineage: Unknown gen TDK SA90 cassettes (1989) > Technics RS-B565 > Focusrite Saffire Pro 14 > Reaper v4.76 > FLAC (24bit/96kHz) > Adobe Audition 3.0.1 > flac (32bit/96kHz float) > speed correction and revisions > flac (24bit/96kHz) > wav (24bit/96kHz) Tracked with CD Wave, encoded to flac 8 with TLH. xACT used to create FFP 01 Astronomy Domine 02 Careful With That Axe, Eugene 03 Cymbaline 04 A Saucerful Of Secrets 05 The Embryo 06 Interstellar Overdrive 07 Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun 08 Untitled Total running time: 1 hour 42 minutes 40 seconds This version is fuller and closer sounding than the 1st gen some people list it as a master but is also missing some of its high end and is hissier. It sounds much better than my 4th gen. Untitled is Atom Heart Mother, which hadn't been given the name The Amazing Pudding at this stage. Rolly69 received his cassettes from US collector Tony F in 1989. He included his business card with the tapes and it says that he was a bathroom and kitchen fitter. If you're reading this Tony I would like to borrow your tapes please! Rolly69's cassettes run quite slow and the speed slides around toward the tail end of each reel, assuming two reels were used to record the concert (one for each set), probably because the transport speed increased slightly as the reel spooled out. The recording also tends to get slower as it goes on. My thanks to Bert13 for completing various blanket and sliding speed corrections ranging between 5.64 and 8.75%, using values kindly supplied by goldenband. Bert also: * Removed an overlap between AHM parts 1 and 2 * Placed IO between Embryo and Set The Controls * Moved fragments at the track transitions of the resequenced section to the right spot * Removed repeated material across track transitions * Removed several analogue and digital ticks and pops, mainly during AD, and * Filtered out inferference around 14kHz.
