| Pink Floyd 1970-Nov-06 Concertgebouw, Amsterdam, Netherlands Composite Source Sources used: Mind Your Throats Adam (Bert13 revision) Sourec 1 - 1st gen -> DAT (Bert13 revision) Source 2 - Neonknight's transfer of Beechwoods unk gen cassettes Source 3 - tezeta's speed corrected version of Neonknight's transfer of marbal 2nd gen cassette Tracklist: 01 Astronomy Domine 02 Fat Old Sun 03 Cymbaline 04 Atom Heart Mother 05 Embryo 06 Green Is The Colour 07 Careful With That Axe Eugene 08 Set The Controls 09 A Saucerful of Secrets Total Time 118 min 38 sec Editing and additional lineage notes: tuning and intro to AD - Mind Your Throats Adam (source 2) - adjust DC Balance and swap channels AD -> Embryo and tuning after Embryo (source 3) - pops and thumps removed as best as possible intro to GitC (source 2) - very light NR to bring out spoken word a little better; volume adjustment GitC -> CWTAE (source 1) - volume adjustment and slight EQ to try and match src 3 dynamics a bit better very brief bit of tuning prior to StC (source 2) - very light NR to bring out tuning a little better; volume adjustment Stc -> ASOS (source 1) - volume adjustment and slight EQ to try and match src 3 dynamics a bit better All editing done in Audactiy 2.13 Split all sources to mono and kept only L channel to match stronger channel of source 3 - source 2 is only single channel mono - didn't find any significant to fidelity to warrant keeping both channels - was able to blend patches a little better using only single channel reduced all to to 44.1 after edits - limiting factor of Mind Your Throats Adam and composites typically have too many flaws to warrant HD Indexed and exported as single channel wav 16/44 FLAC8 TLH for md5 Final comments: This is a quick and dirty composite, not intended to be perfect but definitely enjoyable. Some of the patches are barely noticeable. Some are noticeable but not painful to the ears at least. The only real difference between this and 'Mind Your Throats Adam', besides the improved source for AD -> Embryo, is the extra tunings before and after Embryo and 7 seconds of tuning before Set the Controls from source 2 making it just slightly more complete. 2017 MGoBlue1989 |
