| *** Info *** Pink Floyd - Landover, Maryland (June 1975) 8mm Film Unknown date, either June 9th or 10th, 1975 Capital Center Landover, Maryland Audience-shot 8mm Film Footage (Release includes original DVD file rips, M4A digitization, synced M4A file, and edited silent/synced M4A files which remove a DVD menu from the end of the footage.) (possibly VHS) -> DVD -> M4A digitized Ripped, synced, and shared by Redaissance Total footage length: 3 minutes, 14 seconds *** Notes *** On March 20th, ledzepfilm of The Dogs of Doom, a Led Zeppelin group, reached out to me with an inquiry regarding potential 8mm film of a Pink Floyd concert from Landover, Maryland in June of 1975. After a short exchange, the filmer was more than happy to send his footage out to me, both to be digitized and synced to audio from one of the available performances, of which I had in mind to utilize the June 9th show (this being the more complete recording and thus covering more songs than the next night). The story goes that this footage was transferred at a Costco Photo Center to DVD, but it is unknown if this was from a VHS copy or the initial reels. (Due to this circumstance, the 'original DVD files' folder contains multiple copies, which were 'chapters' on the DVD, likely created by the store during their DVD transfer. These have been kept intact in the MEGA folders, in case someone would find any use from them.) After only a few days during shipment, the DVD containing this footage arrived on March 26th, and this release is the result of this exchange. I am very proud to present the 3rd found 8mm live footage of the 1975 US Tour and the 4th bit of live footage from this 1975 tour overall. Anyone is free to use this footage however they please (except bootlegging; no monetary gain is to be had from this footage), but be sure to include this info file in any other release. In addition, I have included simple custom cover artwork, free to use. Ultimately, this is a beautiful set of footage. A great viewing angle, focus on stage effects, and the actual row this was filmed in show this to be one of the most satisfying watches of any Pink Floyd 8mm live film release. I would be thrilled to see a more accurate sync in the future, but this is just my personal attempt. Sync features (assumed) snippets of the merchandise stand, pre-show audience cheer, tuneup, You Gotta Be Crazy, Shine On You Crazy Diamond (Parts VI-IX), Speak To Me, Time, Breathe (Reprise), Money, Eclipse, Echoes. I was able to utilize the ending audience cheers from Echoes as the opening audio to this footage, as both nights' recordings feature very little time before Roger Waters introduces 'Raving and Drooling'. The initial tuneup scene was inferred to be before the show began, due to the lighting, but I utilized the audio from after 'Raving and Drooling' here. Sync may not be entirely correct for 'You Gotta Be Crazy' and other songs to follow. With Shine On You Crazy Diamond (Parts VI-IX), I referenced the only other fully synced footage from this tour, from Los Angeles, April 27th. Intermission utilizes audience cheer audio from after 'Shine On You Crazy Diamond (Parts VI-IX)'. *** Audio Used *** Audio used was the following, copied and quoted directly from its info file.
