Continuing this series of Camel recordings from their early years of touring ('Camel' and 'Mirage' albums period)... Camel Leeds University, Leeds, UK 19th October 1973. Aud, B-, 49min Also credited as Queen's Hall, Leeds. This one is not the best sound quality, and may be more for the completists among you - however it is a rare document of a 1973 concert, and there aren't many of them! I don't know the source of this, but it sounds a low gen copy of what is a poor recording to begin with - mono, muddy and distant, but maybe the best we'll get. I have corrected the pitch (it ran over a semitone fast), and brightened the eq to try and drag as much detail out of the midrange as possible (there's nothing in the treble!). It is surprisingly listenable actually :-) Being only 49 minutes, this recording may not be the complete concert. However there was an audio discontinuity at around the 45 minute point (which I've edited), with the audio picking up slightly brighter after, both strong signs of a 90 minute tape flip. If this is the case, then Arubaluba, which was often towards the end of the set, may be the last song. I can't get an indication from the stage announcements if this is the case, and it doesn't sound like an encore, so the matter is inconclusive. 1. Earthrise 2. The White Rider 3. Six Ate 4.
