| Recorded (during rehearsals) at the Saint Tropez Music Festival, France. Tracks 1-3 taken from the 'Foreign Legion' roio (better SQ), tracks 4-6 taken from another source (more complete). From the info file: Pink Floyd Saint Tropez Music Festival August 8th, 1970 Cochon Production Mastered by JME from the cover art-- This CD presents two versions of the rehearsals filmed by french TV in Saint-Tropez August 8th, 1970. The Embryo 11:23 This Cd presents two versions of the same show. Why two versions? Because even if the source used for the Roio 'Foreign Legion' is of better quality the the one I had, mine was a bit longer, had more of the french narator and was at correct speed. That's why appear here first the 'Foreign Legion' version (enhanced with bits from my tape, and speed corrected) and then my tape. Note that the order of the tracks are not the same as it seems to me that they are missordered on 'Foreign Legion' as on my tape the narrator introduces 'Atom Heart Mother' saying 'you will see them play now' meaning that 'The Embryo' was presented after 'Atom' during the broadcast. 'Cymbaline' was shot during the soundcheck (Dave plays drums and says to the camera operator: 'You cant' film me when I'm playing drums like that as the drummer isn't there') How I wish I had the video too ... 2005.01.18...mjg acquired in an FTP trade from MOB, good friend of JME, in SHN format so I'm sure the lineage is as good as it gets. |
