| Recorded at the Théâtre Antique, Vienne, France. Fantastic (matrix) audience recording, see below for details. From the info file: David Gilmour - Vienne, France - July 31st, 2006 A 2 source mix. SHN > WAV > NERO SoundTrax > CD-r > EAC > WAV > EAC Wave Processor > Trader's Little Helper > FLAC lvl. 8 The files were extracted from sHN to wave using Trader's Little Helper. Then the wave files were mixed using Nero SoundTrax, and burned to CD-r. The CD-r was extracted using EAC, and the files were cut up into tracks using EAC wave processor. The version of Echoes is superb !! The sound Quality is also very good. I had 2 versions of this show from different recorders. Both were awesome, source 1 had a little more bass end - source 2 a little less crowd noise. Source 1 was more complete, having the begining announcement and Dave's intoduction of Shine On. I simply mixed them to a balance my ears liked. I hope yours do also. All credit should be given to the original tapers and uploaders, they captured a wonderful performance in great sound. Mastering notes: Excellent recording with deep bass and clear treble. The raw recording provided by Xave didn't need a lot of work. Some levels were adjusted during the spoken parts between songs, so that David's comments and introductions can be heard clearly. On the recording, during the first part of High Hopes, the settings were accidentally switched to mono. Some editing was done in order to smooth as much as possible the transition between the stereo and the mono parts. During the recording of Breathe Reprise, for a short moment there were interferences.
