Us & Them [8:59] notes: at last a version not sourced from the second generation cassette :) that second gen was around under any sorta title and release, poor thing. this is sourced from the 1st generation cassette the taper kept as backup, the master is lost. the taper used Nakamichi equipment (he's the same taper of the show in Philly 87.9.19 - recorder 1) This version has a different speed than the other ones, is a bit slower (but it's semi-perceptible); the actual difference in length is due to more pieces of recording here included, audience parts though, cause Pigs has still a gap in the middle and Money is still missing the very beginning; the cuts provoked by the taper are here quite evident so I guess it was on the master as well. Sound quality is not better than the versions around from the 2nd Gen.s; this is a bit longer but also more rough, probably cause is was copied sevaral times . Waters yells 19/54 on Pigs (3DO) min 1:52/53 (3rd verse - on track 8 of CD1) |
