| Recorded at the Milwaukee Stadium, Milwaukee, WI, USA. Very nice audience recording (even though the SQ isn't the best). Most of the music and vocals sound distant, but Gilmour's guitar often screechs through everything to pierce your eardrums. The second half of 'Shine On' is cut off during 'Part 8.' The bootleg manufacturer apparently used some Noise Reduction to minimize the sudden screeches, but it minimized everything else also in the process. I have an old cassette copy of this show (unknown gen) without any noise reduction, and even though the guitar screeches can hurt your ears, the remainer of the music and vocals are a little clearer. Also, in a few places in the recording, the taper and his friend talk briefly. A comment was made about 'lenses', so I assume his friend was photographing from his seat. It's definitely not a recording for the casual fan. Those who attended the show will like a souvenir, but find a copy that is the correct speed; don't get this 'Milwaukee' set. -sydcrainbop@yahoo.com |
