I went up to the show with my brother and two friends. While I was gone to the taping for three hours they were partying it up at Universal City. By the time I returned they were, how shall I say, fucked up. So to make a long story short at the beginning of the show one of my friends was being a bit (very) loud and obnoxious but you can hear me settle him down in the beginning (please keep in mind he was really pissing me off and pardon my language). Almost all of his 'loudness' is before and after songs. After the beginning they were much more courteous. I don't think they realized what I was trying to do. SQ: The sound quality is great for most of the tracks. I had a few technical difficulties, which I will describe below. The bass roll of was perfect and the sound for most of the songs is really in balance in my opinion. You'll have to decide for yourself. There is a lot of guitar detail present. Technical Difficulties and Editing: During Time I had about six seconds of corrupted data for some reason shortly after the solo at about 4:40 so I had to cut that out and splice the song together. Although you'll notice it I don't think it hurts the overall experience. Next problem, I missed the first couple of minutes of On an Island as my bass roll off was switched off and cut of the sound. I was much more careful to monitor it after that. During Echoes One of the channels was switched off during the beginning for about sixty seconds. So in editing the audio I just spliced both parts of Time together, I faded in the beginning of On An Island, which starts just into the first guitar solo. On Echoes I fixed the problem by taking the left channel audio and splicing it in on the right side in effect creating sixty seconds of Mono during that part which worked well to correct the problem. Other than that I edited out some audience parts and moved 'The Cost of Freedom' to the first disk to make it fit on two CD's and boosted the volume two dec. during A Red Sky at Night and Smile. That it. Everything else is just as it was recorded. The Other Stuff: Do not encode in any lossy format except for personal use.
