Recorded at the Refectory Hall, Leeds University, Leeds, UK. Fantastic audience recording. From the info files: PINK FLOYD REFECTORY HALL-LEEDS UNIVERSITY LEEDS, ENGLAND FEBRUARY 28, 1970 AUDIENCE REEL MASTER>DAT>CDR>EAC>FLAC SET LIST: DISC ONE: 1: THE EMBRYO 2: CAREFUL WITH THAT AXE EUGENE 3: SET THE CONTROLS FOR THE HEART OF THE SUN DISC TWO: 1: ATOM HEART MOTHER 2: SAUCER FULL OF SECRETS 3: INTERSTELLAR OVERDRIVE Please do not 'Remaster' and repost this recording. Do not sell. Do not convert to MP3. ----- comparison.txt ----- Posted by beeerlover at http://www.yeeshkul.com/forum/showthread.php?p=34497 My findings: The HRV030, no admitted lineage, has too much hiss, obviously higher generation or even a cassette involved in the lineage. The Ayanami-234, admittedly from cassette not reel, has too much Noise Reduction (probably tryn to remove the hiss mentioned in the HRV) used & the trebble is lost/ruined. The more I listen to this Master Reel (this torrent), the more I realized that it did not need speed correcting or remastering--IT DOESNT NEED ANYTHING BUT TO BE PLAYED VERY LOUDLY AND ENJOYED as is :) |
