Recorded at the Ernst-Merck Halle, Hamburg, Germany. Very good audience recording. This version sounds a bit warmer than Rev.A. From the info file: Pink Floyd 1970-11-14 Ernst-Merck Halle Hamburg Germany 48 kHz (T-136Rev.B) This release is sourced from a reel to reel tape recorded at 3 3/4 ips. I received it in trade from a guy in Chicago. This was one of the first shows I ever received in trade. I got it early in 1973. At that time it was only identified as Germany 1970. Many years later another tape trader told me he thought it was a fairly rare, low generation recording of 1970-11-14 Ernst-Merck Halle Hamburg Germany. A few years ago I did the first analog to digital transfer of this tape. I gave it out to one person and they copied and traded it. From that first transfer there exists a few boots. In July 2003 I did a second transfer which was called T-136. I went back to my reel to reel tape and did a third transfer and it was designated as T-136Rev.A. That one was sampled at 16 bit 48 kHz and then downsampled to 44.1. That downsampled version played just fine on the majority of computers however there were some older soundcards that didn't handle it very well. This is T-136Rev.B the 16 bit 48 kHz version. If you want to burn as audio cd's, convert to 44.1 kHz and make the break between cd's after The Embryo. A Saucerful Of Secrets I did the editing, mastering (tweaking), analog to digital transfer and artwork for this version of this show. Don't add to, change or remove any of these files. Keep the text, md5 and artwork files unaltered, together with the FLAC's. I fixed a few bad edits and made a slight speed correction. Sudden level changes have been corrected. I checked and eliminated any DC offsets. I have included a file pf1970-11-14 (T-136Rev.B) 48 kHzedits removed.flac which contains all the sound from the edits made when sound was deleted or patched. If you burn as audio I wouldn't recomend including this file on the audio disc. Don't rename directories or file names if you share this. My concern is that when people rename them they drop information like date, venue, location, T number. This information is useful to others when searching for or deciding which version of a show they want or already have. The T releases are not to be used as a source for anyones so called remastering projects. If you really want to do something find a better quality recording of the show and work from that. Don't just take what I have worked on and screw with it. For Trade or Give Away Only - Do Not Sell - Do Not Encode As MP3 Virus Files - MD or any other format which degrades the quality of the recording. June 11, 2007 T________ |
