One of my favourites concerts. Nick's on fire on Careful, there's an arab at the beginning of Fat Old Sun. An unforgettable Gilmour over ASoS.

I always liked this one over the other versions i have of this recording. This comes from a 1st generation cassette obtained right from the taper by MB. This is an unprocessed transfer from that tape. HRV release is really good too, i like the bass on that one, so maybe some of you would not consider this an upgrade, but i think this one has better ambience and high-end overall, and hiss is really low. Also, this tape was originally copied in mono and Dolby B on.
Only missing about 1:30 minutes of tunings, all chats and announcements are there.

This had an speed issue. It starts somewhat ok but fast, and it went faster and faster as the tape ran. ASoS is incredible fast on the original transfer. So i speed corrected it track by track, comparing to HRV's and another incomplete 1st generation i have, and testing with my guitar for the right tune. You may find maybe it still run fast at some portions, this is my first attempt in speed correcting track by track so it's a 1st time work, but i think it came out right. Anyway they didnt played with a click track on that days so their own speed varied from concert to concert i have to guess. It's known to me that 1971 has an slower playing than late 1970 (not the case of AD though). And they went slower with the years mostly.

I labeled this tape as source 3 cos it was the 3rd version i got of this show, and it was different to the other 2. There's a 1st Generation which i call source 1 which is incomplete (75m only) and it doesnt sound better than this, but it seems it has the complete tunings. Then the HRV version is the complete one and i called it source 2, but i suspect they patched some of the tunings from other source (any hint on this?) and this src3 i offer here has music complete but missing some tunes as i stated before.

Also note that the taper seemed to stop the recording after every song finishes, this is edited on the HRV release by adding fade outs and more clapping, i left here the cuts and fades as they were on the tape/transfer.

This set of FLAC files are in 24bit/48khz, you cant play this on a regular CD player. You can only play this through your PC with a soundcard that supports this output but even my old SBlive 5.1 can play this so you shouldnt had any problems. I suppose you can burn this as DVD-Audio or something, but i dont know about that stuff. Also, i recommend you to update your player and FLAC codecs to its latest versions. A 44khz/CD & tracked burnable version is on the way.

A big thanks to Moonwall for the great artwork.

Enjoy
