Shine On You Crazy Diamond (Parts VI-IX) [19:17] 06. Money [11:47] notes: at least a version not from mp3 of this recorder seems to have surfaced. The generation is unknowN but sounds just a bit inferior to the 'mp3-master', it's surely low; there are gaps of silence here and there in this copy not present in the mp3-master. my trader's notes: I received this in a trade about 6 years ago. I don't remember who it was from and no generation number info was on it. It is the only copy of this source that I have found in all of my years of trading. I used the MKW Compression Tool to rip the CD tracks into SHN files. This has annoying rumbling sounds on the higher guitar notes, which usually means the recorder was very close to a speaker stack (the mic gets over-powered by the vibrations). There also seems to have been some technical difficulties in the recorder which caused blank spaces on the master tapes. Most of the blank spaces are during the 'Animals' set. The blank spaces which are over about 5 seconds long have been taken out. When this was done, it divided some songs into more than one track. Shorter blank spaces (about 3 seconds each) were left in and considered not a big deal (such as heard during the very end of 'Dogs'). When all of the tracks are played back-to-back, it isn't too bad. The rumbling in the mic is actually more annoying than the few blank spaces. Al *June 2004* Waters says a 44 (with ‘reverberation’) on Pigs (3 diff. ones) 2nd verse at min. 0:09 (track 8 of CD1), the number here is followed by a gap of silence here. |
