Pink Floyd - Live At Pompeii Radio Ads |

Notes |
Compilation of ads for the Pompeii movie. Initially taken from an EP (see below). From the info file: Pink Floyd Live At Pompeii Ads This is a new transfer from cassette different from the one used for Tree Full Of secrets. Its still probably the same vinyl disc as that one, but it has less skips in it (I found only 2, which I edited out) and in most places considerably less groove wear distortion and crackle. This is not to say its clean; in fact its still pretty scratchy. I ran it through a click reduction filter which took a lot of the damage out, but its still largely there. The difference between this and the Tree Full version is that there are 12 ads instead of the 11 on the set, and ad #1 is complete, not just a fragment as it is on there. Ad #1 was actually ad #5 with a new beginning spliced onto it, so you'll hear the same part twice on here. I believe this to be the actual running order of the LP, as on the tape you can hear the break between sides, but not between tracks. I faded the ends of the tracks and silenced the noise between them, but the time is intact. I removed no time, just silenced some of it. I labelled the ads with the numbers used for the Tree Full set, since that's what people are accustomed to, but this is the actual running order as far as I know. The extra ad I've provided is Goofy Ad #5, an alternate version of the Pinko Floyd Movie ad. As a bonus I've included an ad for Hip Cat Records which was tacked on the end of the tape Thanks to Quentin1840 for the source tape Lineage: Unknown generation cassette copy of 'radio Ads For Pompeii Movie' US promo EP > Adobe Audition (declicking) > TLH (flac 8) As with nearly everything I post/share, do not sell, but feel welcome to convert anything I post/share to any format you like, lossy or otherwise, and feel free to share/trade it that way. Spread the music as much as possible, in any format possible. Music should be free and for everyone to enjoy as they see fit. If a person is completely satisfied with an Mp3, then they should be allowed to get it that way. All music should exist in all available formats, be it lossless, lossy, phone files (well maybe not phone files), or whatever. The more formats the more people will be exposed to the variety of music out there, and that's a good thing no matter how you slice it. Just make sure everyone knows what they're getting. |
