Camel - Tokyo |

Probably recorded at the Shibuya Koukaido, Tokyo, Japan (see info file below - these are the 4 bonus tracks from 'Nagoya'). Good audience recording. From the info file: Camel 19th January 1979 Shikoukaido Hall, Nagoya This is a good stereo audience recording and documents the entire concert. It is a little hissy in the quieter moments, but thank heavens no one has tried denoising this tape, as there is lots of ambient detail to enjoy. On this recording, Andy clearly identifies this as the band's third show in Japan. The discs I traded for included 4 extra tracks; a mono audience recording from an unidentified concert. From the setlist I think it is very likely they come from another concert on this Japanese tour. As we have the Osaka and Nagoya concerts, and the final Tokyo show, that leaves it as one of the 2 other Tokyo concerts (assuming the 13th date is a furphy - see my discussion of this on the Osaka torrent: http://www.dimeadozen.org/torrents-details.php?id=240907). The song intros sound more similar to the earlier shows than the latter Tokyo one, so the 16th? The sound quality is marred by tape deterioration on the first 2 tracks, which is mercifully improved on the last two. I've included them here for the completists among you - someone may even be able to identify where these come from! Disc 1: 1. Intro medley (Earthrise) 2. Unevensong 3. Song within a Song 4. The Sleeper 5. Supertwister 6. Nimrodel - The White Rider 7. Tell Me 8. Rhayader (intro cut) - 9. Rhayader Goes to Town 10. La Princesse Purdue 11. Rainbow's End 12. Echoes 13. Never Let Go Disc 2: 1. intro 2. One of These Days I'll Get an Early Night 3. Lunar Sea Bonus tracks from unconfirmed date (Tokyo 1979-01-16?): 4. Echoes (incomplete, cuts in) 5. Never Let Go 6.
