Recorded at Madison Square Garden, New York, NY, USA. Excellent audience recording with the best available audio. From the info file: Roger Waters - Dark Side Live In New York Madison Square Garden, New York May 30, 2007 Upgrade for 'Madison Square Garden' DVD Credits: Audio: danlynch, nyctaper.com Video: NYC Bitch Committee Editing: Dark_Side Hi, This is my first contribution to the forum ...... it is an upgrade for 'Roger Waters Madison Square Garden' DVD. It is a 2 camera mix video filmed by NYC Bitch Commitee at madison square garden on May 30th 2007 (original notes are below). The original DVD suffer from a poor audio quality (sounds like mono) and the audio and video are not in synch during the last 5 five songs of Dark Side so i decided to remaster the DVD. First i replaced the original soundtrack by the well known (and good) Dan Lynch's recording 'The Dark Side Of Manhattan' (original notes are below)'. And to resynch audio and video i've cut the video at 2 places so there's a black screen (half a second) during Money and at the end of Brain Damage. Now this DVD is more enjoyable with a better audio soundtrack. I called it 'Dark Side Live In New York'. I also built new menus and cover. I used some pictures i took during the 2008 leg. The picture in the menu of the first set is from Dallas show, the picture in the menu of the second set and the pig on the cover are from the Liverpool gig. Please note that there's a JACKET_P folder ..... don't forget to include it while burning the DVD. Thanks to danlynch, nyctaper.com for the audio, the guy from NYC Bitch Committee who filmed the show and seth for sharing this with us. Hope you'll enjoy this DVD! Obviously experienced cameramen. With some exceptions, avoided amateur mistakes of zooming in and out, swinging camera around everytime a different part of the stage was lit, losing subject, losing focus, etc. Surprisingly good quality close-ups for available light. Some graininess especially during close-ups. Occasional people walk in front of camera for a second or two at a time. Annoying but not so bad. Decent production values - spared from constant fades but the ones that are there are relevant and well done. There is a 1 button menu featuring the cover of Animals while ironically, Dave is singing Wish You Were Here (from DSoT). Songs are chaptered but there is no way to jump to specific chapters through the menu. SQ is EX-. Some minor distortion at times with some audience noise. I can confidently say that this audio does not come from either of the two known recordings; Dan Lynch's on the PRS label (http://www.pf-db.com/index.php?bootl...oncert_id=1909) or the Hommage Production's (http://www.pf-db.com/index.php?conce...ootleg_id=4608) recording so this would be completely new audio. Overall this is quite an enjoyable and accurate representation of Roger's show that evening. At the end of Disc 1, there is a looped video of the full moon that was on the giant screen during intermission along with the DSoT version of Wish You Were Here playing. The following title is written over the video loop and throughout the playing of that entire song: 'the following is an officially released audio track it is not legal to upload it to any turrent [sic] site thanks'. I believe that this was just the Bootlegger's way of padding the video by about 4 minutes and trying to keep it off Yeeshkul! Thanks to danlynch for recording this and sorry if I shared it here too soon!!!!!!!!!!! There are times when the planets align, and everything goes right. There are also times when history repeats itself. Both phenomena occurred on May 30, 2007 at Madison Square Garden, as Roger Waters returned to New York for the tail end of the lengthy Dark Side of the Moon tour. As in September, the concert was superb, and as you’ll find below, the recording conditions were optimal. I recorded this concert from almost the exact position as the September 12, 2006 recording, and used comparable equipment. As a result, the recording is a faithful capture of the soundscape in the best sonic seat in the house–absolute center, about 30 feet in front of the Soundboard.
