Sweet Transvestite - 5'47' I created and shared these files some 5 years ago as part of a 32 show IQ series from the early 80's and on noticing how poor my share ratio had become decided to put some of these up on Dime in the hope that it might make a difference! :-) I'm sure lots of people may have these already but you never know! I've searched the dead torrents and can't see that they have been on Dime before - apologies to the moderators if that's not the case. I attach below the original comments I made at the time. Some art was created for this series after it was launched and I've added it. Captain Ransid - August 09 Original Comments This is a direct transfer from 20 year old master recording on a good old TDK AD60+90, using a Sony Recording Walkman and seperate Stereo mic. The transfer was from tape deck (Aiwa AD-F800) to Audio CD recorder, then EAC to WAV to FLAC. The recording is quite quiet and thus tape hiss is noticeable, but not disasterously so. As this was the first time that the boys had played 2 consecutive nights at the Marquee the sets for each night was quite different! The set opened with a tape intro and then back to the 'traditional' opener, A+N. We got the 2nd outing of the embryonic Magic Roundabout (as yet untitled) which segued, via a little instrumental bridge, into Oh Shit Me. The enemy was once again put mid set with the epic Gateway being the closer. sadly the set changes played havoc with tapers and Pete didn't give his usual 'warning' resulting in the last bar of Gateway being chopped :-( A great set of encores - to allow time for Pete to get ready the band played 2 instrumentals (the TV advert theme for British Gas!!!!, and the Glen f@*king Miller medley), with Pete then trouncing on in his basque and suspenders to perform the Rocky Horror classic! (how did he fit into those tiny knickers?!?)
