Awake And Nervous - 6'04' I created and shared these files some 5 years ago as part of a 32 show IQ series from the early 80's and on noticing how poor my share ratio had become decided to put some of these up on Dime in the hope that it might make a difference! :-) I'm sure lots of people may have these already but you never know! I've searched the dead torrents and can't see that they have been on Dime before - apologies to the moderators if that's not the case. I attach below the original comments I made at the time. Some art was created for this series after it was launched and I've added it. This is the last of the CRAPIQ series, and the first with Paul Menel. Captain Ransid - August 09 Original Comments This is a direct transfer from a 19 year old low generation recording, from a reliable source, on a good old TDK D90. The transfer was from tape deck (Aiwa AD-F800) to Audio CD recorder, then EAC to WAV to FLAC. The tape is low quality and thus hiss is noticeable, but not disasterously so. This was the second time that IQ played the Hammy Odeon in 1995, this time as support for Magnum. Both bands had, in March that year, previously played the afternoon/evening gig at the Camden Palace for the recording of 'Live From London' - subsequently released on CD by IQ as 'Living Proof'. This is assumed to have ultimately led to the support gigs. Magnum were quite generous with the time allowed to the band and thus the boys packed a lot in - although no epics obviously! This was the second London gig with new vocalist Paul Menel, and featured a new song, Promises, only previously heard at the Marquee gig the month before. The band were also promoting the single 'Corners', albeit this was from 'The Wake' and featured Pete on vocals. A very noisy and receptive audience generating an encore in the form of A+N.
