LDB Master Series #201

Hello, this is a collection of masters I would like to seed here. I've been taping shows for more than 20 years and have an awful lot of masters. Most of them are in the old cassette format, some others are on MiniDisc and others are on CD. I've taped many shows of many artists over the years, so don't be surprised if you will find many different artists taped! Some shows are already circulating, some others have not circulated through collectors yet. But most of all, enjoy! They all come from my mastertapes!

Mike Holmes - guitars, backing vocals
Martin Orford - vocals, keyboards, saxophone
Paul Cook - drums
Les (Ledge) Marshall - bass
* Peter Nicholls - vocals & masks

This one comes from the time I followed IQ quite a lot. That show was special because it was a one-off occasion when Martin Orford took the vocalist duty (Paul Menel had left a few months earlier with this gig already planned). It was also one of the two shows Ledge played as bassist for IQ.
This recording was done from the first row. My Sony was literally onstage so the sound reflects this situation. Quality is quite enjoyable but the audience is wild at the end of the songs and is very loud! Otherwise it sounds very good to me. I hadn't played these tapes for about 10 years! Setlist is a kind of crazy with Pete Nicholls joining the band for the encores. It was again a first, being his comeback to the band after a nearly 5 years absence. Enjoy!
