Recorded at the Marquee, London, UK. Very early Jadis recording, not the best SQ, but very interesting. From the info file: LDB Special Series #218 Out of my 7,000+ shows and radio broadcasts, I have many concerts that were special for some reasons: the setlist, the musicians, the venue or unexpected events. These are the ones I'd like to propose you. Most of these come from my cassettes collection, so they will be released at a slower pace than my Master Series! But you won't be disappointed! I will try to gather the most unusual things I have in my collection and, as always, your feedback and comments will be my reward for all the work involved in this project. DO NOT share this music on mp3, just convert it for your own use. Sharing mp3's is the right way to make me stop sharing music here. But here it is. Band's history could be divided into three eras: before, within and after Martin Orford's participation in Jadis. Martin joined the band in late 1990 and stayed untill approx 1996 with a few back and forth. After that, the band was somehow in decline although I enjoyed a lot the 'Understand' album. But the band was formed back in the early '80s where the bulk of the early material was written and performed, first as support act of various prog bands, then headlining. Some titles such as 'Scratching the Surface', 'The Disastrous Tea' or 'All In One Day' disappeared from the setlist when the band released their first cd album called More Than Meets The Eye. This one comes from the early days and was probably the very first gig headlining the Marquee. This is new-prog made in UK at their highest peak. I enjoyed very much listening to these old tapes after so many years. We are not very far from the very end of my series. I am planning to close everything on release #450, which means that both Master and Special Series will both end on #225. So from now I will take requests. If there is something special you would like to appear drop me a PM and I will try to fulfill your wish. By know you should be familiar with the kind of music I am listening, so it's to you now... ldb |
