Recorded at the Dayer, Vlaardingen, The Netherlands. Very good audience recording. From the info file: LDB Special Series #223 Out of my 7,000+ shows and radio broadcasts, I have many concerts that were special for some reasons: the setlist, the musicians, the venue or unexpected events. These are the ones I'd like to propose you. Most of these come from my cassettes collection, so they will be released at a slower pace than my Master Series! But you won't be disappointed! I will try to gather the most unusual things I have in my collection and, as always, your feedback and comments will be my reward for all the work involved in this project. DO NOT share this music on mp3, just convert it for your own use. Sharing mp3's is the right way to make me stop sharing music here. Since then the band have been on a long hiatus, then started again with a few line-up changes. But I still consider the 1984-1992 period the golden one for the band. If I have a look at the setlist the band is playing these days, NONE of the tracks presented here are played, which is a kind of sad considering that up to The World the band have released a bunch of high-quality albums. This one I received directly from the (dutch) taper somewhere in the early 90's. It sounds extremely good (9,5 I should say) and clear. Shortened setlist apparently because the venue had a sort of curfew. So instaed of playing the opus Black Knight they had to finish off with Solid Heart (not really their best track but...) This one brings me memories when I was a lot into these sort of bands, often travelling to the Marquee in London to see them. That was the case for IQ, Geoff Mann, Galahad, Quasar and others. Hope you will enjoy it too! ldb |
