Recorded at the Bierkeller, Bristol, UK. Very good audience recording. This is a more recent transfer of the same tape that you'll find under the name 'Bristol Bierkeller'. From the info file: LDB Special Series #255 Out of my 7,000+ shows and radio broadcasts, I have many concerts that were special for some reasons: the setlist, the musicians, the venue or unexpected events. These are the ones I'd like to propose you. Most of these come from my cassettes collection, so they will be released at a slower pace than my Master Series! But you won't be disappointed! I will try to gather the most unusual things I have in my collection and, as always, your feedback and comments will be my reward for all the work involved in this project. DO NOT share this music on mp3, just convert it for your own use. Sharing mp3's is the right way to make me stop sharing music here. Probably the peak of this line-up and a good mix between Nomzamo and Are You Sitting... songs with a few oldies. And was really on the oldies' medley that it was the beginning of the end. Paul Menel was very reticent to sing material that was designed for somebody else's vocals and whose lyrics belonging to others, notable The Enemy Smacks. Within months the situation was critical, and by july when the band played (once again) a packed Marquee, both Paul and Tim had decided to leave the band. the final chapter of IQ with Menel was on September 1st, still at the Marquee. A rare cd captures parts of this tour from the following date at Manchester. This is the whole set including some soundcheck to make a good combination. Soundwise this is excellent, a bit hissy but the music is transferred from tape. Enjoy! ldb |
