Recorded at the Concertgebouw, Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Very good audience recording - just a bit fast. This is one FLAC file. From the info file: Pink Floyd Concertgebouw, Amsterdam, Netherlands 6 November 1970 Astronomy Domine Fat Old Sun Cymbaline Atom Heart Mother The Embryo Green Is The Colour Careful With That Axe, Eugene Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun A Saucerful Of Secrets Total running time approximately 111 mins Cass(1) > DAT(2)(48kHz) > Tascam DA-20mkII > Coax > Edirol UA-1D > CD wave Editor 1.98 > FLAC 48kHz (level 5) An untracked raw transfer. Neon 01/11 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- After a very brief look at this raw untracked DAT48 transfer, I noted a few things. - It is 5-6% fast as all torrented versions seem to be. - Like the others it was transferred to DAT at a somewhat low level. Very common with DAT transfers. - If you reduce a couple of shorts peaks, you can increase the overall gain higher. - It appears the overall output level varies and could benefit from a few different gain changes to make consistent the overall level. - It's channels are essentially aligned with no significant phase shift. - One channel's output at times is only slightly more than the other. - As clarified in a recent thread, there are two sources but only one recorder for this date. The weaker source has a bit more content than the stronger source, though both sources are relatively weak. Littlepieces - Dec 2012 |
