Notes
Recorded at the McNichols Arena, Denver, CO, USA. Very good audience recording.

From the info file:

Welcome to one of my Rock n Roll life changing concerts - and I don't say that lightly. I was very fortunate to have 4th row center seats for this show and I raved on for years afterward how this was the best concert I had ever attended (I finally had to conceed that the first time I saw Roger's version of 'The Wall', it took over my favorite concert ever attended). This concert also inspired to me to start recording shows. I remember thinking afterwards how could I possibly ever attend another concert without having a recorder in hand to forever capture the pure delight of the wonderful musical experience I had just witnessed.

I have been fortunate to have a cdr capture of this show for a long time. I believe the cdr was direct from the master recording and is truely one of the best captures from the entire tour. However, I have always felt that the cdr ran a little fast and the sound was a little tinny. I'm pretty sure that the recording equipment used was not very sophisticated, but the sound quality at the show made this a great recording. I don't know the person that recorded this show personally, but I know that he was very close to the stage. I know that because I can hear my buddy and my screams throughout the entire show so the recorder must have been very close to my 4th row center location. There is one significant problem with the master recording. At the 1:17 mark of the The Tide is Turning, there is a 2.5 second dropout in the recording. I believe the mic became completely unplugged at this point and the remainder of the show was recorded on one channel. You can really hear a difference in the overall quality of the remainder of the show at this point. But, please, don't let that deter you from this overall outstanding recording.

Another issue with the cdr was that I always felt that the recording ran a little fast - from beginning to end. One day I started playing with the pitch of the show and confirmed that the entire show did run a little fast. Finally, one last issue with the cdr was that it actually had cut out some of the diaglog present on the master tape. Besides having the cdr, I also had a second gen cassette tape from the master (not the cdr). I patched some of the missing dialog into my new version to make this a complete show. Right after the Rush snippet ends at the end of the first track, you can hear a pre-recorded Radio KAOS jingle that I have never heard before on any other concert from this tour (unfortunately, some guy is yelling about losing his keys on the bus during the jingle, but its there nonetheless).

Also, as a bonus, this 'complete' version includes a 22 minute interview that Paul Carrack and Jim Ladd gave earlier in the day at KBCO-FM. Jim talks at length about the tour, the concert setup and premise. It's a good overview to the entire concept of Radio KAOS. And, just as a side note, only one of the two Denver FM stations mentioned in the concert has survived. KAZY-FM went off the air in the early-90's, but KBCO-FM still thrives in Boulder and Denver today - still with its unique format.

So, with all of that in mind and that its the 25th Anniversary of the tour, I have named this little remaster project of mine called 'Complete KAOS in Denver'. This is the most complete version of the show now available. I have included some samples. And I'm also including a scan of my ticket stub. It was the first time Roger played solo in Denver and it's the only Denver show that I did not personally record. If anyone would like to put together some artwork for the show, I would be very grateful. I plan on following this release with a plethora of the other Roger shows I have recorded in Denver (and two road trips). But, for now, I present to you:
