| Recorded at the Ringlokschuppen, Bielefeld, Germany. Great audience recording. Info: OKM2R -> Zoom H2n (at WAV 16/44) -> SD -> HD -> Audacity (edit/remaster) -> WAV 16/44 -> TLH8 -> FLAC -> DIME -> YOUR EARS AND MIND...ringing the big bells in Paris! Recorded by yours truly at 2nd row a bit left of center stage, facing the HUGE keyboard tower of Mr. Folberth. Overall indoor sound was a bit uneven, and I might come out as a pisser, but the really 'old' tracks didn't get much volume output, instead of other 80/90's tunes. I've this recording a bit (took me 5 hours), but just a bit. This was way too bass heavy, so I cleaned that just a little bit. Ok, enogh of little bits. Not my best recording, but far from my worst. A few crappy pics from my cheap camera included as well... --- ELOY...sigh...sigh...memories of youth...Chasing on the underage girls (oh, I was still underage then,too!!!), candlelight parties, first kisses, first huggings...a bit of beer to fasten up actions...a delightful turkish pizza for 1.50 german marks from Habib F. at Steingasse in Warendorf, Germany. The future was so bright then, we didn't wear shades! Glorious moments, trying to figure out the meanings of the lyrics...discussing a whole afternoon (no, not all night, cause we were underage, so keep getting home via bus at 7.30pm!). Glory days! Oh, - BTW - these were the times of COLOURS/PLANETS/TIME TO TURN albums! About the time ELOY were not the topselling band anymore, as German New Wave or New Wave ect. took over the albums selling market and also the TV/Radio. The music declined into a pseudo-hardrock with 'Performance' in 1983, and so I left my love for ELOY for some 28 years... All's well that comes to a good end...END??? 2011-07-20...BURG HERZBERG FESTIVAL...Never seen them live before...I was struck to my bones...And still I am. So, here's my cheap little capture of last night's ELOY performance in a town that doesn't exist (yeah, that's true, but the venue was there. Couldn't seen anything of that city, except for the 'Ostwestfalendamm', a highway which leads you from nowhere to the outer regions of...hmmm...my area...). Hope you all enjoy this!
