Possible (probable) new recorder, looks more complete than the others listed on pf-db; transferred from the master cassette.

An AmusedToDeath Release

Transfer from 20 year old source tape. If you'd like information on where this tape came from it's explained here:
http://www.pinkfloyd.ws/forum/box-tapes-t2698.html

It's left untouched, no mastering just a direct recording. With that said it sounds very good. Radio Waves is probably the worst quality song on here, it gets better from there. There were some clicks on the second tape, mind you it's over 20 years old, I left them. Mild tape hiss but it's very negligible.

This was my first attempt at recording from Cassette, it took many trial and errors. For the love of GOD/Jehovah/Alah/Flying Spaghetti Monster/Zeus/Athena/Amen Ra please do not distribute in MP3 or any lossy format for that matter. This is coming from a 20 year old source. Make MP3's for your own use but please do not distribute that way.

Nothing is cut except for about 3 seconds on Have a Cigar, every other second of the show and all audience noise is here. Starts at Pre-Show where Jim plays The Doors - Texas Radio And The Big Beat.

***AST2008-07-09 This is from Rec 1, the 'Billy Does Dallas' source. Interesting to note however as this does contain the entire show, which the supposed 'taper' from the 'Billy Does Dallas' RoIO claims to have not taped. That Hi-Fi version does have the cut during the intro for 'HAC' edited out, which you can tell when listening to it closely, but it does have the first few bits of intro on it. This version doesn't have the intro at all and just starts right after the cut. The cut inbetween 'NNJ' and 'ABIW1' is present on both sources.

The master claim is perhaps a bit iffy. The poster of 'Billy Does Dallas' claims the master was destroyed by his ex-wife in the mid-90's. The person who obtained this tape from a guy named Jay, the son of the original owner of the tape some six years ago. He purchased a huge box of tapes from Jay after his father died six years ago. According to this source, Jay's father taped this show.

Now while I don't like calling anyone a liar, someone is not telling the truth here.

As far as the quality of the recording it self, I do like the 'Billy Does Dallas' source better as far as sound quality is concerned. This one however is much more complete.

Now if we could only know the truth about this recording.....
