This tape is a nice upgrade to the transfers of Recorder 1 circulating. Stratcat58's source was a well-known and highly regarded trader active in the 70's and 80's.

Up to this point, the best transfer of this Recorder is Neonknight's 3rd Gen. Stratcat58's transfer appears to be lower gen, as is likely knowing the source, and has a clarity missing from both the '1st Gen' and the 'Band That Ate Asteroids For Breakfast' release.

Both the 1st Gen and 'Asteroids' appear to have been 'remastered'. This is a raw transfer, but has very little that you'd want to 'master out'. Speedwise this is consistent with Neon's 3rd Gen, and sounds about right to my ears.

I hope that you enjoy this new transfer of a familiar show.
