Notes by Shyam:
i'm no cameraman! the footage is a little shaky but i was zoomed in since i wasn't up close. the start of the dvd is black but you can hear her talking. the reason for this is that tori wanted to do a 'meditation' type of thing and didn't want us to film it. so i just let it record the sound part instead. the way i remember it, tori was there before the release of 'boys for pele'. she was suffering from carpal tunnel with her hands and UCLA had a great medical program for that. i didn't go to UCLA but a close friend of mine got me 3 tickets to see her speak. it was for students only and i brought two friends to the show.

Notes by Lisa071573:
There were about 5 minutes of footage at the beginning and a short bit at the end that was personal, so Shyam asked me to edit this out before sharing the video, hence the editing and re-authoring. The very beginning is missing. There's about 7-1/2 minutes
at the start of the dvd of the 'meditation' and Tori talking before the picture comes up for the Q&A.

A little about the event from http://www.archive.org/stream/bruinlife9495univ/bruinlife9495univ_djvu.txt:
Opening with a sample of her musical talent and eccentricity, recording artist Tori Amos hosted a question and answer session in the Ackerman Grand Ballroom, sponsored by Campus Events on February 27. Amos, known as one of today's alternative rock singers, inspired her fans with lessons she has experienced in her own life. Her positive message included a challenge to be genuine without censorship. Ultimately, Amos advised her appreciative audience to give back their unique experiences for the world to share.
