Do you have some room left for more KQED?
Starting point is the same as this:

But this upload is not the remaster of that one. With neonknight we agreed that I'd worked on a different version, played back with Dolby B on. We could not be 100% sure, but I think that this recording was done with Dolby B, so neonknight kindly supplied a new transfer with that setting.

Then, I did my best to clean up something. Patching few bits (a couple in AHM and the beginning of GITC), removing some hum, noises, restoring some dynamics, equalizing. No NR. Obviously, same SC as neon's version (coming from goldenband's analysis, no discussion there around).

How does it sound? The whole thing is surely not perfect, but I like it and I hope that somebody else will. And of course we happily disagree wit neonknight, who prefers the 'Dolby off' version. Please do not take this as a match: obviously I like this version more, I chose the Dolby setting and worked on it... if I wouldn't prefer it, all this would be nonsense. It's not a contest, you have alternatives, can check, and choose according to your taste. And of course huge thanks to M.U. neonknight for one more excellent transfer: even if U-matic version is a tough benchmark, I think that these ones have its virtues too.
