Notes:

here's my second PT master from tampere, pakkahuone.

pakkahuone is an old customs house, built in the beginning of the 20th century.
here's info about the venue:
http://www.tampere.fi/culture/tulli/english.html

i've never recorded anything in this club (pakkahuone) before, but i used to go there every now and then in the 80s/90s
as i was living around the area at that time. one thing i do remember is that i never got to hear a really decent sounding
gig there, the acoustics were always a bit rough and/or hollow, somewhat 'noisy'. thus i wasn't even expecting my recording
from this night to be quite on the level of the night before. anyway, taking everything into consideration, i have to say i am still
somewhat pleased how this recording came out. not quite as spacious and warm sound as on my previous night's recording
from helsinki but anyway, i still find this a quite enjoyable recording.

otherwise i really like this venue quite a lot. it certainly offered a lot more intimate setting than the ice hall (even though the ice hall
too was used in a 'truncated' form). so as a rather small club environment (maybe around 1100-1200 people max?) i think it was
nevertheless a good venue choice for PT.

i recorded near the mixing desk, a few steps to the right from the front railing. some random babblers during the quieter moments can
be heard, yet nothing too severe.a couple of pretty loud guys settled behind me during the encores, but luckily they didn't yell during the
songs, only in between them.

about the gig:
this was a kind of special date in several ways: this was the last gig on the current tour. also, the very first PT gig ever in tampere and only
the third gig in finland in all so far - so there was enough extra value on this one, i suppose.

the new songs (compared to helsinki) were 'sentimental' (steven playing the keys), 'half light' and 'even less' .
personally i was very thrilled to hear 'hatesong' again - excellent! and maybe it was the more intimate setting which really made some songs
be more intense than the night before: especially 'anesthetize' was awesome, 'trains' was also very memorable here.

then again, i think some songs faired better in the helsinki ice hall, like 'sleep together' (which i think really seemed to benefit from the wider
space and larger venue). by the way gavin seemed to be in great mood. :D

after half light' steven spent a minute thanking the road crew (since this was the last gig of the tour). he also apologized that one of the dudes
had not so much to do in tampere since they had no merchandise left to sell at all here - everything got sold out in helsinki already.

SW: 'so, it took us 15 years to get to finland - better late than never, as we say...
and now we're here, what do you want to hear?'
crowd:'!!!!!' (everyone shouting song names over one another)
SW:'what??'
crowd:'!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!'
SW:'...if you all talk at once i can't understand what you say....'

hope you enjoy this recording.
please keep sharing your PT!
thank you.
