Micro-mics>Sony TCD-D100 DAT>CD Spin Doctor>CD-R>FLAC This is a perfectly listenable document of PT's work on this evening in downtown L.A. although the sound is a bit muffled. I had arrived late and had to stand in the open near an aisle. Given that they made the usual announcement about recording devices being distracting and annoying, I did not feel comfortable putting my mics over my glasses/ears as I usually do. If I had gotten there earlier I could have found a better place to blend in. So, not wanting to risk being thrown out or having some Boy Scout point me out to Security, I decided to hold the mics in my hand at waist level. The result was a lot of bass in the recording and I had to use the 'Exciter' filter in CD Spin Doctor to tone it down. This added compression to the recording, which is why it also sounds kind of like I was hiding in a closet while taping. Still, there is no reason why any big fan of PT can't enjoy hearing this one. Even with all the audience chatter! There is one guy in particular who felt the need to comment endlessly throughout the show. By the way, Club Nokia blows! It is a brand new club and they built it with big f-ing columns right in everyone's way. Half the audience on the floor could not see the entire band because of the obstructions. They just built this place last year! Inexcusable for a venue that is supposed to be 'state of the art.'
