Show notes:
Awesome show yet again from IQ at Xmas! Didn't we all have a merry old time. Took a while to get this put together but finally I release it!! Beginning of Nomzamo I let out a 'YES!' because this was the first tune that got me into IQ a while back and it seemed the first time they had played it for a while, hence the name of this recording! Been going to the Xmas gigs ever since 2004 I believe. The recording came out pretty well although the DV cam had a hard time with some of the reds and low lighting of the venue. I managed to do some quite funky camera mixing with the other sources I had available. Only things to maybe spoil this recording was the drunken people heckling Peter with what they wanted from the setlist. The setlist is prepared before the show guys! :)

Watch out for Peter's comments on bootleggers ;)

Recording notes:
Matrix of sources #4 and #5 were matched up with the footage I filmed in source #1. Had a few unsteady moments which I have tried to minimise in post... but it was hard holding a DV cam up for 3 hours! :) All audio and video was merged into Adobe Premiere with some effects added by 3dsmax. I put my DV audio (just bass frequencies) behind the remastered audio to give the recording a fuller sound.

Mastering details: (by Chris Hughes)
DVD audio plus two other sources, sync'ed audio to DVD track. Cessman source is mono, keilo01 is stereo with imbalance R > L. Both are good quality up to 13,000 with cessman heavier on bass and a bit distant. A matrix mix of both sources was used to create the full audio of the show. Each source was remastered separately, fixing dropouts, adjusting tone, correcting balance and tracking. Then both were sync'ed to within 0.01 seconds. Finally, each source was placed in a separate channel. A blend of both channels was then added to each so there was about 20% overlap. This gives an appropriate stereo separation without being too discordant.

Enjoy the bootleg!!
