Notes
Continuing this series of Camel recordings from their early years of touring ('Camel' and 'Mirage' albums period)...

Camel

Blue Cafe, Cassato, Italy.

1st May 1973.
Aud, B+, 42min

Date credited as first Italian show. This is a wonderful, clear recording of Camel in their early years.
Also traded as 5th January (1/5, 5/1 mix-up?), or 5th May, or even 15th May. (Pete introduces Mystic Queen from 'our album', being 'Camel', released in February 1973. Hence the January 1973 date seems unlikely). Includes a rare early song 'The Traveller'. The entire set is documented here, but as it is short, it is possible the band were opening for another group.

I've traded several versions of this show, which from the clarity of the recording, was likely made on a reel-to-reel machine. This version is in stereo and has the best sound overall; no cassette dub hiss surges, so likely from a low gen analogue source, although I have no details.
I have remastered to correct minor editing errors, and lifted the levels and treble brightness a little, which makes it clearer throughout without being noticably more hissy. No noise reduction! Tape speed was a little fast, so I have re-pitched.
I haven't traded this remastered version much, so even if you have this recording, you will likely find this a significant upgrade to the regularly traded versions.

For some reason the title 'Dancing Cossatese' seems to be attached to this recording (not necessarily this version).
I don't think it is a venue name, possibly an original bootleg title?
