Lineage information:

Audience Master Reel recorded by Rob Bertrando:
Sony ECM-22P mics > Sony 770 reel deck, 1/4 track 7.5 ips.
40-50 feet back, dead center

DAT Master > Weitzman DAT > Sony DTC-A7 via Optical Cable >
Soundblaster > Cool Edit Pro 2.0* > 2 wav files (one per set) >
Soundforge 7.0** > CD Wave > Flac Frontend (level 7, align sector
boundaries) > flac

*Anthony Theesfeld extracted the DAT and performed minor sound
editing with CEP, removing some of the mic noise and other various
dropouts and glitches.

**I edited in Soundforge a total of 10 channel drop-outs, mostly the
result of mic cable problems, the majority of which were in On the Run.
I did this by patching music from the existing channel into the lossed
channel. Short fades were applied at the beginning and end of each set.
I also speed-corrected (103.751%) each of the two wav files before
splitting into individual tracks using CDWave.

The Fireman's Tapes releases were the result of the generous contribution
of music by Mike Weitzman*, a volunteer firefighter and first-response
rescue worker, to the Pinkroioshn direct connect hub. Thanks, Mike!
