Notes
Recorded at the the Forum, Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Very good audience recording. IMO, this transfer sounds a bit less processed than the other one, but also a bit more distorted (opposed to the description in the info file).

PINK FLOYD
MONTREAL COLLECTORS EDITION

Media: 2 x 2 CD-R
Source: AUD

X-ref: 'Montreal Day 3', 'Montreal 14.9.1987'.

Venue: September 14th, 1987 - The Forum, Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

Notes:

First of all - a few words about the source. As far as we know only one recorder is available for this date. Only second set (with three encore songs) was recorded. If somebody has whole gig, probably (surely - I can even say) he has 1st set from Cleveland September 16th, 1987 (identical to 'Echoes By The Lake' bootleg).

Here we have two new transfers for this date, both from low generation tapes and from integral sources (this means that 'Shine On You Crazy Diamond' is from the same source than 2nd set and two first encore songs). Why two transfers? Because both has pros and cons...

Transfer 1 is from higher generation tape than Transfer 2. More muffled, a little bit processed, but without tape distortions. It has also more cuts and fades (hopefully between the songs).

Transfer 2 is from lower generation tape. Sound is crispy and more defined. Absolutely raw, unprocessed. What a pity due to age of the tapes the end of 2nd set (from 'Us And Them' to 'Comfortably Numb') has major tape distortions (wavy sound)... But here we almost don't have cuts between the tracks. This is also the longest version available for this date - as complete as we will ever get.

-----

Fourth show, played as a part of North-American 'A Momentary Lapse Of Reason' 1987 tour. Complete 2nd set with three encore songs from integral sources.
Recording mastered from low generation analog tapes. Discs' division compatible with the course of the show. Carefully indexed. Revised and normalized, with slight speed correction.
The third of only 6 encore performances of SOYCD during this tour.
