Recorded at the Gelredome, Arnhem, The Netherlands. Amazing audience recording. From the info file: A bit of history........... At the begining of 2007, myself and 2 friends wanted to make what could be THE best audience shot film of Roger and release it to the fans, all 3 of us use the same Sony HC1 Hi Def camera's and as youve seen from previous releases these give excellent results. A few months before the show a 4th person contacted me and said they would like to film the show with us , again on a Sony Hi Def, unfortunaly for various reasons the 4th camera didnt happen. However we did manage to pull off a great shoot with 3 cameras of the second half of the show(2 cameras for the first half). When i started editing this a few months ago it bugged me that when using one cameras footage for the 3 cam mix one (or sometimes both) of the footage on the other camera was just as good and one would have to hit Hop The Ponds cutting room floor. I then had the idea of using the other cameras for a 2nd and 3rd angle on the film and trying to author my first multi angle DVD. I also recieved a second unreleased audio source from a friend which had nice mids and highs but lacked a touch in the lows so i added this to the disc so the user can shoose which they want. What we have here is the result of many hours work of having to learn new software and having to totally re do the 3 cam edit so that footage from the 2nd and 3rd angles wasnt used in the main film! Hop The Pond proudly presents: HOP 014 Roger Waters- '3 Sides Of The Moon' A three camera, 2 audio track, selectable multi angle film of the DSOTM set filmed at The Gelredrome, Arnhem, Holland 5th May 2007. This is a 3 camera mix of the Dark Side Of The Moon set but with a difference!, I believe this is the first 'Multi Angle' audience released DVD of any show! (unless anyone knows otherswise) What this actually means to the viewer is that not only can they view the 3 camera mix of this show, they can (at certain points) view alternate camera angles!! For example, during Grahams drum solo at the begining of Time you can choose to watch Graham or choose angle 2 and watch Roger! There are 7 points during the film that you can view an alternate second angle*most of which is NOT used in the 3 cam mix!) plus one point where theres 3 angles to choose from! the really clever part about this is if your watching the second (or 3rd) angle footage when it ends you are atomatically taken back to the main 3 camera mix, however you wont even know as its flawless. All the above is controlled by the Angle button on your DVD players remote control. At various points in the film you'll see a flashing camera icon in the bottom left of your screen, this is a 5 second warning that a 2nd angle is available, when the icon stays on the screen press the angle button on your DVD players remote and instantly switch to angle 2, you can go back and forth seamlessly as often as you like! During 'On The Run' and 'Any Colour You Like', the 2nd angle is the computer generated screen graphics alone, filling the entire screen! Dont want to watch it ? want to see whats going on onstage instead ? just press the angle button again and your taken back to the main 3 cam mix. Im sure you get the idea. Many thanks to the other filmers and to 'Bunzing' the 2nd audio track recorder. Enjoy Hop |
