Flickering Flame Source: Sharp MD-MT88 w/Sony mic > WAV > Normalize > CD Wave > SHN The concert was recorded on a Sharp MD-MT88 MiniDisc with a Sony (?) microphone from section C43, row 3. The minidisc recording was then transferred to .wav files in SoundForge using a Hoontech DSP 24 soundcard. Each .wav file was normalized in SoundForge before they were split into individual tracks with CD Wave v1.71 and converted to .shn with mkwACT v0.97 BETA 1. Comments: I had seen Roger Waters at the Spektrum in Oslo the night before and was pleasantly surprised by how good the sound in Globen was compared to Spektrum. I also thought the band was putting on a better show here than the night before, (with the exception of Snowy White, which did not have a pariculary good evening at Globen, messing up the intro solo on 'Wish You Were Here' and a few other parts) Andy Fairweather Low also surprised everyone with a killer guitar solo ala Pete Townshend at the end of Money. Rogers comments during the show: d1t04: 'Well thank you. Good evening, welcome!' d1t13: 'Oh well thank you. Thank you, oh thank you, thank you. That of course was for Syd. We're gonna take a short break, 20 minutes in fact and come back and do another set so we'll see you in a few minutes.' d2t12: 'Thank you, thank you for coming tonight it's been a pleasure to perform for you, thank you so much. I'd like to introduce this band. On the drums Graham Broad, lead guitars Chester Kamen and Snowy White, saxophone Norbert Stachel, the one and only Andy Fairweather Low, vocals Katie Kissoon, PP Arnold and Carol Kenyon and on keyboards Harry Waters, Andy Wallace, we all thank you. Huh. Ok.' d2t14: 'Thank you again. You've been a great audience, thank you. Ok, we've gotta do one more song. This is a new song, it's a song about love and about freedom. And it's called Flickering Flame. One, two, three, two...' Quality: ? ***NOT TO BE ENCODED AS MP3*** |
