Not only from the reasonably high generation of it (maybe 6),but also a poor mastering/transfer on the previous generations. Well...i've pulled it back a generation & a half. ALL the graininess has gone (not the generation grain but that has been significantly reduced). It is now more defined & so more enjoyable to watch. The sound is cleaner although mono (source was mono). It now has a Menu, It now has correct chapters & not the automated 5 minute job However some prevoius big mistakes made through the generation pass down cannot be repaired fully without going through complete seperate frame analyzation & although its a nice little show.......its not a wow & not worth devoting that amount of serious time on it. So to remedy some of the faults yourselves....when you start watching, turn the colour on your TV down or there will be too much green. This had to stay or everything else would of been wrong but by lowering the colour you produce a reasonably perfect medium ok. You'll see what i mean....its not a biggy. Nice little laser spectacles, lots of zoom in & outs which sometimes you feel were done at the wrong time to the wrong place. Welcome to the Machine and Us & Them are a bit dark as there was not a lot of stage lighting & i suspect you're meant to watch the screen.....this is what i mean with the zoom in & outs. But when the stage brightens up its a 'yeah....i can dig this'. Don't expect high definition, super wow, looks like your in his pocket quality though because that it's not. And i'm not sure if different film was used for Run like Hell but there are colour issues when the stage lights glares red at the camera.......go figure. But it is now the best available until the rumored full 2 1/2 hour tape surfaces plus its not that well circulated so its something different for you to scrutinize if you havn't got it & it's a mini-upgrade of sorts if you have.
