Recorded at the Palace, Auburn Hills, Michigan, USA. Good audience recording. From the info file: PINK FLOYD Auburn Hills, The Palace, Aug 17, 1988 amatorial recording - incomplete (63:36) Quality: B 3G vhs - SONY rdr hx850 standalone - HD - torrent As promised, here is my copy of this video. It's not the fairiest of them all, but still a nice viewing. Shot from the balcony opposite the stage, with a zoom lens that makes the image not too distant (from whole stage to small portions of it). No close-ups, but an interesting display of the show. This particular position, makes the symmetry of the light beams and lasers come out like something previously unseen in any other 'Momentary Lapse' recording. Please remember this comes from a 1988 videocamera translated on a VHS tape, so don't expect any miracle in terms of definition. Throughout the darkest moments the picture is quite grainy, but whenever the stage gets well lit, the quality improves dramatically. 'Run Like Hell' is a real pleasure to the eye. And now for the bad news. As I mentioned in a previous message, my Sony standalone defects of a 'manual chaptering' option. Everything it does is to automatically insert 10min-chapters by itself. This is something I hate, but haven't got a chance to do it differently, because: 1) I work on a portable computer that doesn't bear any appropriate video-in outlet, so I have to rely on my otherwise excellent standalone. 2) I am in REAL dire straits, so please don't suggest to buy me a different machine, be it another dvd recorder or computer. The mere expense of buying a set of blanks is a decision that requests a family reunion... ;-) This is particularly sad because I'd have so many NICE low generation post-Waters videos that never came out on Yeeshkul - some of which never got the rounds in the collectors' world. Finally, please excuse me for all this blethering. At long last, here is the tracklist: - Welcome To The Machine - Us And Them - Money - Another Brick In The Wall, pt.2 - Comfortably Numb - One Slip - Run Like Hell That's all for now. Once again sorry about the chaptering; I hope you will enjoy it anyway. All the best from Italy. Maurizio 'Ratpie'. |
